About Course

NewThis certificate just launched and is open for enrollment now.

Data Science Professional Certificate is a complete, beginner-friendly path into data science: from statistical thinking and spreadsheets, through Python and pandas, to data visualization, exploratory analysis, and how organizations actually use data to make decisions. No prior programming, statistics, or data experience is required.

This is a standalone course with no prerequisites. It’s designed as a natural next step for learners who have completed "Data Analytics Fundamentals" or "Introduction to Python Programming" and want a deeper, more complete path, but it also works perfectly as a first course for anyone starting from zero.

What You Will Learn

  • Think statistically: summarize data with mean, median, and spread, and reason about distributions, correlation, and causation
  • Organize, clean, and summarize data confidently in spreadsheets using formulas and pivot tables
  • Use Python and the pandas library to load, clean, group, and combine real datasets
  • Build clear, honest data visualizations and run a systematic exploratory data analysis (EDA)
  • Understand how organizations use data (and basic predictive analytics/ML concepts) to make decisions, and the ethics of doing so responsibly
  • Complete a full realistic capstone project, from messy raw data to a finished analysis and recommendation report

Prerequisites

None. Basic computer literacy (using a web browser, spreadsheets) is helpful but no prior data science, statistics, or programming experience is required.

Target Audience

Students and young professionals exploring a career in data, graduates of Data Analytics Fundamentals or Introduction to Python Programming who want to go further, and anyone who wants practical, real-world data skills for work in NGOs, business, government, or research.

Estimated Study Time

70–80 hours (6 core modules plus a capstone, self-paced, roughly 3 hours a week over about 6 months)

Difficulty Level

Beginner: starts from zero and builds up to a complete, real-world data analysis project

Certificate

A Bang Ti Lenydoor Professional Certificate is awarded only after completing all lessons, passing all 5 module quizzes, completing the capstone project, and passing the comprehensive final examination with a minimum score of 70%.

Career Opportunities

Junior Data Analyst, Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Officer, Business Intelligence Assistant, or a strong foundation for further study toward Data Scientist or Data Engineer roles.
