- Unsolicited offers claiming you’ve already “won” a scholarship you never applied for
Fake University Warnings
- No verifiable physical campus or accreditation you can independently confirm
- Admission offered with no application, transcripts, or entry requirements at all
- Only reachable via personal WhatsApp/email, never an official institutional domain
- Pressure to pay tuition or fees before receiving any formal, verifiable offer letter
Email & Phishing Awareness
- Check the sender’s email domain carefully, scammers use addresses that look almost right
- Be cautious of links asking you to “verify” personal or payment details urgently
- Legitimate organizations don’t usually ask for passwords or full card details by email
